She was called a "Hobbit" the very first time she showed up. Unfortunately that's a BIG no-no because while "halflings" are a generic fantasy race, "Hobbits" are specific to J.R.R. Tolkien. So Synecdoche accidentally ran into trademark grounds. That's why she was retconned into a Kobold.

He did. When he first met Medesa, Erufuda covered his eyes when her hair changed into snakes. Later in the chapter her hair changes again but Erufuda is too slow to cover his eyes and he passes out.

During the Volleyball chapters, Erufuda again covers his eyes when the sister's hair transforms. At the finale of the chapter Naoe is passed out because he took a peek during the big fight between the Medusa Sisters and saw their transformed hair.
