Endo and Kobayashi's Live Commentary on the Villainess - Vol. 1 Ch. 2

Finne's solo route is like when you level up Rorona like mad so she can beat Gio during the tournament.

Also, p21, a training Finne looks very cool !

I love it. The prince asked the perfect question of his gods.

Finne being OP is interesting too. I wonder if she'll be able to hear the commentary after her awakening?
Speaking of which, which route is she gonna go down? If we need the prince to be around to hear the commentary, then should it be his route? But it sounds like taking the Death-prone knight's route is the optimal good.

Maybe they can do both, since reverse-harem is also a possible route.

The two MCs convo reminds me a little of how an otome game lover friend of mine interacts it's interesting to see it in manga form 😂

just had music playing in the background while I read this and I have never laughed more than when the instrumentals to Aladdin's Prince Ali came on and fit the tone and flow of the manga scarily well.

It really bothers me how the mcs find out there is clearly sentients on the other side of this, whether it’s magic, technology, or something else, yet they still decide to treat it as a game and play with their lives.

Well I agree Endo and Kobayashi still see it as a strange game-like phenomenon with a hint of "can't tell you everything lest we spoil all the fun~", but "playing with their lives" is a bit harsh. I'd say they are specifically targeting a route where everybody can choose a person to love freely, else they would've gone for the foolproof plan with the reverse harem ending.
So I'm cheering for them too!

My first reaction is that these kids are so weird, taking all this in stride as much as they do.

It's like a kid's movie version of how you'd react in this situation —"Well, let's play the game like this then, that's so awesome!" instead of, "HOLY EXISTENTIAL CRISIS TIME, WAIT, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE APPARENTLY REAL PEOPLE IN THE OTHER PLAYTHROUGHS, OHMYGOD THIS RESPONSIBILITY I CAN'T," which would be more my reaction.

From an author's perspective I can see how their comparative carefree-ness and credulity is essential for the plot to go on like they wanted it to, though.

I totally agree with Endo and his commentary about the developers. After Clannad broke my heart and soul, I never managed to completely heal. Now I avoid stories like that, and I'm always afraid of death flags being raised in the stories I'm reading.

@kwendy I'm with you on that. Let me know if you ever find a story like this.

Suddenly I want to see bulk muscle otome isekai.
Honestly, a couple of them kind of come close. Several of the "reincarnated as the villainess, so I'm trying to avoid the bad end" sort of isekais have more or less gone down a route of the villainess just trying to become self-sufficient so even if the worst should happen they can make the best of it. But they actually seem to be sort of accidentally twisting things around into reverse harem endings for themselves in the process while also being too clueless to notice it at all.

IS NOBODY GOING TO TALK ABOUT HOW SHE GOES YURI IF IT'S THE REVERSE HAREM ROUTE!!!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I find really funny how the authors considers the consequences and uses of a person so powerful left free in the world.

Someone max level and powerful enough to defeat a legendary enemy like the witch, which is supposed to be an invincible force without the especial power of the heroine, would mean the same as having a Demon Lord in the world, for example.
