This started really wholesome, but in this chapter he seems like a selfish, egoistical pr*ck. Especially his advice for Versa looks reaaaallly superficial. Like all his relationships are only mere whims of his, because everything must submit to his will and thinking what is best. Even talking of having no regrets doesn't fit the character from the first 6 or so chapters.
@gurrycurryburry from the way i see it thats how he's been since the beginning. he may have saved those people, but everything else has been on a whim, from becoming an adventurer to even traveling. if anything his advise holds more weight because thats how he decided to live.

Time for a rant:
For fucks sake, why must isekai always have this sort of retarded writing.
Fuck these "all nobles are evil assholes but also incredibly stupid" and "girl of the week/volume/whatever gets kidnapped so the MC must go to the noble's mansion and fight a bunch of low-level mooks and maybe one dude who is supposedly strong who he defeats in 5 seconds" cliches.
And don't even get me started on that fucking goon who told the MC their evil plan for no other reason except that it was convenient for the plot. There is no way someone that stupid exists, I'm pretty sure even a fucking brainless idiot wouldn't do something like that.
Also, he left his two former slaves behind because he wanted to "treasure every encounter" and because he can't "bear the weight of another person's life" but now he takes this chick along even though she is clearly as weak as Sera was, which means she would be a burden too. What was the fucking point of that then?
The girl doing research with the MC's help was interesting enough, there was no reason to do this cliche crap. The only reason I'm even interested in this series is because it seemed like it would do things different from other isekai stories (like MC just being an exterminator or the slaves parting with him) but it seems I was wrong.
I'm giving it one more chance before I drop it.

The fucking idiot told them they burnt Vera's house and kidnapped her for no fucking reason other than because it was an easy and fast way for MC to find out about it (because God forbid he puts any sort of effort, even if it's just mental effort). It made 0 sense and was the stupidest shit ever, even if the guy was super cocky or whatever excuse they want to use it to justify.
