Everybody it's not that he doesn't know her, he is pretending to not know it was her so that it doesn't look like he was stalkin' her. He just casually mentions her name sounds familiar (when he didn't remember that cartoon at all until she brought it up) just so he could lead the conversation to her real identity so he could meet up with her IRL.
