Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA 3rei!! - Ch. 62.1 - The Last Existence

Prisma doesn't take place in the same "worldview" as the rest of the Fate franchise. It's connected, but it doesn't follow the same rules.

From what I grasp from this episode, the goal is still to rescue everybody from that "other" world beyond the hole. The author said multiple times that what Illya is looking for is a "true happy ending". Don't think that'll change. Hopefully it's just a question of how they'll get there in the end.

I'm fine with Shirou sacrificing himself in the end, if somebody ever needs to be sacrificed in the story. Seems to me that he should have died after sending Miyu away to Illyaverse (how can somebody survive after bearing the full wrath of AE lmao), and that would have been a perfect point for the story to end, without all the adventure of Illya-tachi in the Miyuverse. The fact that Miyu somehow came back to Miyuverse was already quite far-stretched. I think the author said that his original idea was really short, not much longer than two tankoubons. I guess the series became way too popular for either him or TM to not keep it rolling :)

The story development in the last few chapters felt a bit abrupt though. I wonder if it has something to do with the OVA that'll be released this year, actually. I couldn't find a natural point in the manga for the OVA to end, and it feels like this could well be an attempt to find an episodic ending and set the stage for the next phase of the story.

Well I was completely wrong about who Tanaka was but this does make things very interesting.

I do wonder if we will see Illya do something crazy with the Kaleido magic to try and fix things, seems like their best option unless Tanaka has another trump card to play.

So in one way it was basically like a game where illya has to choose the right ending or game over once more

Hmm, don't know much about Gaia but I do know that they're either equal or even superior to Alaya, so it'll be interesting to see one in action like this.

@Anchira: She's Archer's boss's boss.

The counter guardians we're familiar with are agents of Alaya, the collective will of humanity.

Tanaka is the counter force of Gaia, the will of the planet itself, which Alaya broke off of when humanity advanced so much its will could become independent.

where is our gaias counter force?
did she dies in covid as well?

if tanaka = gaia counterforce...
is this possible to alaya counter guardian come because there is 1 human survivor with have a desire to survive or the human itself become counter force?

This bears repeating because it seems people seem to still not get it:

Tanaka is Gaia, the will of the planet, not Alaya, the collective unconscious of humanity. The Counter Guardians we know like EMIYA and Okita Alter are employed by Alaya. Tanaka, being Gaia, has nothing to do with them.

@ivv It's not really the concern of Gaia what happens to humans and it's not like the situation's dire enough for Alaya to act.

...I thought it was a joke when I read that meme talking about just WTF was going on here, specially even more so since it talked about Lostbelts...

I guess I should've known better. Though the strength of Tanaka did kinda seem like a counter-force servant.
