Yeah, he clearly cares for her. Sure, his fetish is somewhat obsessive, but no more than hers is. Honestly, she went about this in the completely wrong direction. Why try and remove a good part (which also is the foundation) of your relationship in order to expand said relationship? It is like wanting to add on an addition to the house, by removing the entire basement at the same time.

Not to mention that she is insanely jealous (well childhood friend isn't helping). They both keep making it worse intentionally for some reason (her more than him though). He has tried to be serious a few times now, and all she has done is made it worse. Plus she decides things entirely by herself. If anyone is failing at the relationship, it is her. While I do like the story, this would normally be a massive red flag for any relationship.

They live together, care for each other, share the fact that they are both perverts, and his family -even if they are obsessed with fetishes too- really like her.

What “progress” she should want?
Him being less absordbed in his fetish? Big brain play, considering that she is on par.
Him caring for her? Already established that it’s already like this.
Marriage? Never talked about it (but I’m sure he’ll propose, just give him time, it’s not much that they are dating)
Kids? Never talked about it (and I think he wouldn’t be against it)

I mean, he should stop acting like he did in the last few chapters and sometimes just don’t fall into provocations...that’s true.
But it’s still a situation that SHE created for NO valid reason.

And his current situation already explained how much he cares: it’s still a pervert obviously, but all I read is “Kotona left me” not “I miss her hair”.

EDIT : on top of that she is unfair too: she is really jealous...with some reason; but in a “what if” situation, if he was the one to run away, she would have been so suspicious of him, like “who have you been with?” and such.
What if he reacts the same way? She didn’t even considered it for a second.

We get some yummy scenes of her but nothing happens. Hell, the mangaka keeps it going and throws in the busty blond childhood friend in and she gets shot down as well. He mans up at ch 61 and they patch things up.

She has a fetish as big as his but shes giving effort to not give in so he can view her as a woman he likes her at this point but so far they've only emotional progressed he still treats her insensitively in regards to his fetish.

She went about wrong way in expressing her concerns in the relationship but shes not wrong to have these concerns and you got to admit Tatsu has been pretty insensitive in treating her like a woman he even says he gets the point of the ban but makes no efforts.

@Starbright thats a dumb way of thinking when she already accepted the way their relationship was (ch 18) and he already sees her in a sexual way but he feels like he is not ready for it (ch 15), the problem is the way she manages the whole situation specially when she already stated the point that she was his gf not her hair (ch 42) and then the very next day make the ban for no reason instead of going with that idea, that only increased the tension of both and make them specifically concentrated in their fetish but with no way to satisfy their desires making them somewhat irritable, it didnt help either that she was quite hostile and childish when he was trying to make amends in more than one occasion to then later leave and ignore him.
