while I can't say anything about his comrades at this point, MC isn't such a likeable character after all. It seems like back on earth he had money and no trouble flaunting it in the face of his "friends". Upstuck rich kid is the first impression I got from his memories of his former earth life. Well, he could still be the hero some of us want.

while I'm no wiser, what horrendous things those companions did to him, I have to say that MC is evil! Evil, I'm telling you. What he does far surpasses self-preservation and "justifiable" revenge at least at this point. He isn't just the MC but also the villain of this story, which does make for a very interesting read. I also dig his style.This is...this is kind of amazing. If you like slightly darker protagonists, go and read it.

@Jiyuu: Jupp, I had. Read it til ch87 and until around ch60, I believe, it was a blast. Nearly died every 2nd-4th chapter. Then it slowed down a bit, but it's still fun. Though the last few chapters I deciphered more than read them. (The translation quality dropped and hit the ground really hard. With its head. ☠)

I really, really recommend the LN.
