Lanuvel reminds me of Carol from Tomo chan, she is just there doing nothing, but she is soo cute. I just love her, and I hope she will survive this mess.
Bro, Porter seems pretty happy, did you see his little excited blush when he got his name? Hes excited hes not dead, well fed, and doesnt have to fight! Being a pack mule is basically living the dream for him.
When I realized the gap between the cutesy look of the manhwa and the content of the LN, I was, "Hmmm..Won't this downgrade it?" But all those little details. The layered cake as a transition to the levels-sediments comparison, or when when MC thought, that he at least doesn't created mountains of corpses and then that next panel. Drawer-nim is working hard.
I like the fact that the hero is a self-centered asshole. But he is dumb as a brick... He got sent back 10 years in the past because he murdered his "companions" after tes YEARS. Here he murdered one of them after two DAYS. the administrator should have reseted him already and continuously do so until he acts nicely even if it's just pretending. It would be much more logical to have the hero be boiling inside the whole time and take his frustration out on monsters and such instead of him acting like an ass right from the start WHICH IS WHAT LED HIM HERE !
@Khannarc I dissagree. I feel like killing Silvia gave us a far better outcome than keeping her alive. We met the elf prince who seems way more interesting as a character than impulsive Silvia. Who also from flashbacks seems to have bullied the hero even thou he saved her from slavery. I do hope thou that he doesn't kill Alex as I feel that character could help him grow, even if in a rough way. And I think Alex cares about him, in his fucked up way.
Also, he's not only self-centered, he's also pretty analytical and cool-headed and it's honestly a fresh breath of air. We still haven't seen compassion, but judging from flashbacks (Silvia) , he's capable of that. And I have this feeling that he will show remorse at some point, for killing Silvia and others because of the way he keeps remembering them. As tools for now but maybe it's just his conscience that's slowly starting to manifest. I might be wrong thou.
It also seems that something bad happended/will happen to Lanuvel and I'm curious how he will react to that and what he will do/won't do.
@Emerane You will likely enjoy the rest of this webtoon a lot. However I stand my point. When you'll be reading this you should have catched up with the release, and know what's coming for our hero. The fact that he HATES his so called "companions" is not trivial a all, it's a key part of the story. Basically the world he's in is a stereotypical RPG setting thingy, with all the tropes and motives of a "classic" J-RPG, but something went wrong, REALLY wrong. In essence the MC is trapped into this world against his will, and the system likely has some major failure that make it work pretty much against the MC in every aspect possible. The fact that he is still able to progress, somehow, is only due to his knowledge. And oh boi does he know that his "companions" are hell-bent of making him suffer. He went through TEN years of almost constant abuse, both physical and psychological. So I'm very glad he killed Silvia so quiclky but it still constitutes a kinda big plot-hole to me. He should have get rid of her in another way because killing her, even with some excuses, is just not logical at all.
@Khannarc
It is kind of weird that he doesn't get much punishment for essentially being 10x worse than who he was during his first run through. All he gets are slaps on the wrists and that's about it, really.
I do think this is a very interesting webtoon. What motivates me to read this webtoon more and more is mainly to see what the MC is capable of pulling out of his ass and how ruthless he can be. I want to see his actions. But man, if he ain't one insufferable prick. He is a great Villain though, for sure. Like holy hell, he has the makings of an AMAZING villain.
