If he were going to kill the elf for exp anyway, why not do it before the elf messed everything up? Also did the author really write in an elf shouting for guards in a orc-camp?
I have a feeling he isn't as horrid as the manga tries to portray him, as he seems to try to spare bags of exp if they aren't going to die anyway.

Gonna be honest here, I'm pretty sure had he looked at the elf's stats before hand and seen that level, he would have killed that elf no questions asked.
