Fight Class 3 - Vol. 4 Ch. 26 - Round 26: Handicap

Man, losing because of something completely out of your control

Mother nature's a bitch

Sendo Takeshi would have SO much respect for this girl. It's a shame to see her go down like that but at the same time it makes her a more compelling character

I mean, periods aside, male vs females matches wouldn't be balanced anyway. They should probably have separate male and female tournaments, although I get that in this universe technique trumps raw strength so it works out.

This was a great chapter. I really like her as a character and you also had those fantastic pages of the coach where it slowly zoomed in as you got flashes of her backstory.

It's unfortunate that she was weighed down by something beyond her control and Bang's aside about how your friends don't care or treat it as a joke is super accurate. Look how many people react with "ew gross, I didn't need to know that" for something that happens all the time to women. If a female MMA star said she wasn't in condition to fight because of her period she'd get laughed out of the sport.

Oh wow this sort of thing really hits home. Very depressing and I can feel her struggle. Endometriosis and other similar conditions are terrible, for me that it feels as though someone is grabbing your insides, twisting them or hitting them for hours. Plus a roulette of other random symptoms. Even normal periods can still sap your physical and mental well-being significantly. I also don't know that I've seen this subject noted upon in manga, only Berserk comes to mind. Human females got a very short stick with this path of evolution. Even if it wasn't just about her period, it still touches upon a dismal subject of absolutely putting in your all but being ultimately being limited by biology beyond your control.

@nanze
This manga seems to be playing by these rules.

:( awe i'm sorry for her. like i'm sure her since of pain and frustration is definitely relatable to everyone, and you can see exactly how grand it is in the situation she's in rn.
