There really were no indication that he raped her in the manga, xiao cai made an appearance in that scene outside of Medusa’s body that already means that the child is xiao cai, and the soul fusing wasn’t stable so common sense should be able to tell you that it’s xiao cai

@Limnir Xianxia novel manhua adaptations usually change a lot of things. Some characters might switch gender, some minor characters may be removed, character backgrounds are altered, minor arcs are skipped, things happen differently to reach the same conclusion, etc. Much of it is for sake of the breakneck speed manhua has, but there are also changes for other reasons, like this. Well, I'm sure you knew all of this, but I just thought to rant anyway.
