@Aaydothaytch tl;dr, cause I realized my paragraph was getting way too big even simplified... Yun Yun and Xiao Yan had a thing goin on that was kinda brushed over for various reasons (novel has details) , but she was clueless on the misty sect attacking his clan, and when the conflict he had with nalan yan ran was resolved, they got involved again to press him for his retaliation, but framed him for being the cause. So now both sides don't want the other to exist, yun yun doesn't know what to do cause of said thing that went on, but their guy yun shan wants xiao yan dead for his killing the guy who is responsible for harming his clan severely and chased his dad until he mysteriously disappeared. Now we're here, that's about as simple as I can make it x'D

Sad that Yan Yan wouldn't hear him out knowing his straightforward character and integrity. Because he told her some stuff that she found hard to accept she refused to even give him the chance to fully tell his side of things. Disappointing.

At least she still has feelings enough for him that she couldn't bring herself to kill him. I have faith in her sense of justice and right and wrong that she will take care of things properly at her shitty sect when she returns.

I wouldn't be surprised if her and Yan Ran girl both leave the sect over this some point in the future.
