....here's my theory.

The first apocalypse turned the whole world from realistic to more anime-like, like how it was shown in Shinra's dream. Then, as was commented in the previous chapter, the bout between the Master and Benimaru made Adolla get even closer, rendering the waves to be comical in appearance, and resulted in Soul Eater's moon hanging on the sky.

This means that Soul Eater is what will happen to the world if they failed to stop Adolla. The whole world is progressively getting more and more comical.
