(the more bombastic and free spirited people like her also tend to lack self esteem or think lesser of themselves) more so in her case since as far as she knows it won't matter how deeply they fall for eachother, once the "actual heroine" shows up she thinks that's it, cedric is gonna fall for her regardless of how he feels about dylan (or at least is very much willing to concede to the idea that could happen)
