Can anyone clear some confusion for me? The MIL is married into the family, right? And Cedric's father is grandpa's bloodline, the supposed next duke before Cedric?

MIL called Grandpa's wife "mother" so I was under the impression she's Grandpa's daughter somehow (not to mention their similarly prominent eyebrow) and so far it seems it's not like that

Edit: I read back to the first chapters and rediscovered that Grandpa only has sons, thus marriage to the Langton became grandchildren's responsibility. So yeah, our tsundere MILF is actually married into the family. She's just close to her MIL too. Guess that run in the family

I believe calling she is calling her mother in law with out the "in-law" part.
It is normal to call your in-laws like that in some parts I guess.
Also, I am not sure if the previous duke was Cedric's father because he "left"(whatever that meant).

@Mizumachi yeah, bcos there's no "in-law" part, it made a lot of people assumed she was grandpa's descendant. But then it's mentioned about "fake origin", her surname isn't "Hayworth" like Cedric
I said "supposed" duke after grandpa, so should be grandpa's son and automatically Cedric's father xD
I think they actually meant "died" since MIL and Dylan was talking about parents that passed away
