Me too. It just makes the whole plot meaningless.
But then again, if they literally introduced this character to get dumped within 3 chapters, that would be a horrible plot twist.

The only Manhua off the top of my head that doesn't follow these tropes is 'The Heart has its Reasons'.
It's seriously underrated. I recommend it if you want something that's less 'tropey' .
But get some tissues when u read it cuz it does make you cry waterfalls.
