Not the ending I expected, but was not disappointed. Some kinda punishment for their extreme selfishness was deserved, but not death ofc. Sasuga author.

Here I was expecting the ending to be them somehow getting their old minds into the new bodies, losing their money since they wouldn't be able to prove their identities, and then having to spend a whole other life time together because Fran put a hormone in them that would kill them if they separated as a type of genetic glue.

This, all things considered, was more... "wholesome" than I was expecting. Twisted, but wholesome.

You know, after reading the first franken fran book, I always have this expectation that the story will always get weird no matter how it started.

Also, I’m glad that the clones let the original people confess their love first before killing them. Atleast they died happily... sort of.

To be honest, I'm glad the elderly couple's feelings were honest and the twisted ones were the totally-not-clones. I was dreading them eventually killing each other for some hidden agenda.
Their ultimate fate sucks, but at least they managed to come out clear right before it happened.

The murders were useless, now they have to run with two bodies of rich and influential people left behind and they can't even take over their fortune. Doesn't make much sense beyond the shock value, kinda like chapter 2 of the original run.
