@Nekokid: Hazard of the genre, I'm afraid. This isn't even the worst offender by far.

Some yaoi feels like it was written by aliens who have at most a vague notion that sex is part of building human relationships and bonding, and just sort of stick it in at various random junctures therein in the story.

I feel like the author did a good job at giving the message that just because you’re gay you don’t have to endure a horrible relationship. The one issue I have is that the old straight friend turned gay trope was used again.
