That's an unusually happy ending for a kodama manga. Then again, that sort of happiness is relative to kodama's usual standard of drama, misery and shitty endings.

Naoko is really good at making fucked-up things appear beautiful; that rape scene was quite poetic.

Masahiro Itosugi also has some really good fucked up dynamics and rape scenes in Aki-Sora and Uwa-Koi.
