Fukakai na Boku no Subete o - Vol. 3 Ch. 17

Normally I'm a fan of this series but I'm unsure about introducing family drama with this sister character so soon after the previous arc without at least a breather or some such.

That said, I'm pretty glad Koto was able to come out about this all. I hope the Mei x Koto ship sails~

This girl is cringe

So is the boy who doesn't think he's male neither female.

I hope this series ends with a lesson where you accept yourself for what you are.

What I hope it doesn't leave us off with is the "your feelings are your reality" bull

Shit wait were we supposed to know who half the characters were in this chapter? It's a little hard to keep track of cute characters

Mhmm, yeah I don't really know how to react when people come out to me. No matter how much I'M used to people coming out or being casual about it, it still takes a lot of trust courage on the part of the other person, especially if they don't have much of a support system. Like, look at how hard it was for what's her name? Her best friend is NB, their friends include trans women, gay men, and crossdressers, and it was still difficult for her to come out. What's the appropriate amount of tact?

Ah. More drama. Well, I guess we can't have fluff and happiness for long. I was expecting more than half a chapter until the next problem though

@smolbaka

Sounds like you believe less in "accept yourself for who you are" and more "accept yourself for what I think you are"

lmao how are you this far into the series and unwilling to accept the different viewpoints presented in all of the characters.

Oh crap.

When Mogu makes a face like that after seeing their own sister, you know something’s up. Next chapter is gonna be a rough one.

Oof probably homophobic sister that always remind her that she is a he

Yay character development! I like how they show Koto's full journey from a self-loathing lesbian terf to a self-accepting lesbian ally. A lot of LGBT stories either avoid bigotry in general, or depict homophobic/transphobic people as total villains that cannot be redeemed. The former is relaxing but inaccurate; when you're LGBT you can't ever fully escape the assholes. Look no further than some of the meaner folks in this manga's comment threads. The latter isn't fair either though; sure bigots are assholes, but a lot of that comes from a place of ignorance or insecurity, rather than straight up hatred. I've known several bigoted people that became allies after I or other LGBT people came out to them. Granted sometimes they're so mean you have to cut them out of your life, but that should be a last resort. A lot of people can improve if you keep talking to them, as Koto's growth shows.

Not sure about the Mogu's sister. Like other commenters I was kind of hoping for a chill chapter after Koto coming out, but I guess we're jumping right back into drama given how scared Mogu looks. I am curious to learn more about Mogu's family situation though. I know Mogu lives alone, but do their parent's know? Maybe that's why Mogu's so afraid of their sister... She might tell on them and mess up their ability to live alone.

This feels like a rollercoaster, a good one non the less.

@mirewitch
That's a good point, the flashback they seem to get along (i can't check the older chapter) so maybe something happens between them later ?, Also mogu parents say's that's "i hope it's a phase" so maybe they parents haven't fully accepted mogu yet ?

*walks up to lesbian couple*
So which one of you is the tsukkomi and which is the boke?

the sister seemed cool about Mogu in the flashback but i guess she accepted it more easily when she was young? and now she's shitty about it presumably, that's sad

also fucking lol. your feelings are literally your reality you dumbfuck. god why do i have to block so many people on this site, i don't even have to do that on twitter and that place is way worse, but somehow chuds just find their way into these manga that are clearly not meant for them

Oh god mogu's face on that last page tells me so much (on that note, props to the artist)

I have a feeling the author will draw comparisons between sakura and mogu's relationship and the dynamic MC has with his sister
