Eh, that's kinda the point though. He was warned at the beginning that his powers would drive him mad, but the guy was already broken (and dead), so he had nothing to lose.
He's just a living embodiment of his thirst for revenge + insanity right now.

At least he's insane in a fun way, though the series will no doubt end with him dying once more.
