did she really think she could sneak a couple meters behind him and use a bow to kill him? wow. guess they ate rotten flesh to turn that dumb. looking forward to what comes next, though releases seem either slow, or the manga truly is monthly.
@SunSun
Milgram my dude.
If ~65% of the population is willing to follow unethical orders under the context of a casual scientific experiment, imagine how much higher that number must be when you're implicitly threatened to become your master's next meal if you disobey.
I mean, once you've learned the truth as a servant, do you really think he would allow you to say no and let you go?
if you eat alot of human brains ( the meat is fine for the most part, but can cause problems if yo are unlucky or its not prepared correctly)
you can get a disease that makes your brain look like a sponge with holes in them, similar to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease or mad cow disease.
this makes you among other things really aggressive and makes it hard for you to control your emotions.
so the reason they are like this might be because they have eaten too much human brains.... that or they are just generally bad people who murder and eat other people for fun.
Thanks for the chapter!
Considering he probably didn't know about most of the corruption of the various nobles before he died, how is he finding out about things like the General and his family's repulsive choice of eating the other white meat? Servants talk and hiding that many bodies will get exposed at some point. In any case, why was the mother saying the meat for the next meal had been decided? Using such a strong poison would've tainted whatever they cut off the MC and poisoned whoever ate it as well. Or was she talking about eating the servants digging the holes?
@Goldenzeal More likely the family's behavior, at least the mother and sons if not the father, is a result of both rather than one or the other. Hence, having rotten personalities is due to the father's bad teachings and considering everybody else as a potential meal in addition to whatever ailments and conditions afflict someone from eating too many brains, especially improperly prepared ones. The General still able to act composed could be because while has rotten personality prefers the other parts and rarely eats brains.
