@cor3zone Honestly his dialog over the chapters implies he's already aware of being a scumback but he simply doesn't care anymore. I do wonder what he will do when one of his targets turns out to be a decent human being for a change since his behaviour then will decide a lot. He do seems to research beforehand.

@Speak_Evil they might have been decent, but working in such a toxic environment for years would erode those beliefs, also this is basically a secret facility so it's invite only, do you think they'd invite someone that don't agree with their worldview, basically the "naysayers" were fired (or worse) ages ago because they held on to those pesky morals.

That's a problem, though. If he already believes he's as bad as his targets, then why doesn't he care? Why not stop the playing, kill efficiently, and end his own life? He cares enough about them being monsters that he makes them suffer, but not enough about himself being a monster to speed it up?

This will not happen. The author intentionally paints everyone that the MC kills as a villain in order to satisfy the power trip fantasies of readers with lower intelligence. Unfortunately this makes for one-dimensional characters, and the whole thing implausible for anyone having half a brain.

That's very unlikely to happen. You see, if you read at previous chapter where he went to the church where his sister lived, he made a confession. It is implied, the path he choose may not be approved by his sister, but he didn't care anymore. He will take the path of revenge to avenge theses despicable people who have wronged him.
The princess who ordered his soldier to killed him, massacred all the villagers he's close with, and killed his sister.
The general who burned down his village and killed his mother.
The pharmacist who drugged his supply army in the previous war.
He already knew his target. Most likely, his target are the rotten and twisted people who have no regard to human's life. So, if there's a not horrible people, those people is not his target.
Just imagine like how Kratos blindly killing the God of Olympus because those God have been screwing him so many times...
