I was simply saying that this entire set-up is entirely possible, as things similar to or even worse than this were done in our very history. Humans are by their very nature greedy, selfish and self-centered, focused on their own desires and needs. True altruism doesn't exist, because even altruism is done for selfish reasons (to make one feel better about themselves or accomplished or to pursue a goal). Yes, humans are multi-faceted and exceptions always exist, but it is literally impossible to step away from our base human nature... because that is what MAKES us human. Accepting this fact is paramount to understanding WHY people do what they do, good OR bad.

@feetsanitizer You're also forgetting all the others the Princess used to destroy his life. More than likely, he is going to use her as some sort of puppet in order to enact his revenge on the others, and then finish her off in the end.
