loved the novel & i have been repeatedly listening to my favourite arcs on wuxiaworldaudio
ngl, i don’t enjoy the webcomic as much, maybe bc the character design doesn’t coincide with my mental image of them.
just a heads up for readers coming into this blind, although there are cute moments and romantic moments here and there, ning xi and lu tingxiao don’t get together until chapter 668 out of the 2165 chapters.
I’m not sure how this translates to webcomic-chapters (i doubt it will be 2165 chapters long) so if you’re here for a quick romance story, you might not be up for this lol.
But if you enjoy face slapping, OP main characters with koi luck & talent + cute & fluffy moments as a couple or between parent and child... this might be the webcomic for you!
oh yes, there MIGHT be rape, attempted rape, drugging, cheating mentioned. (maybe not as vividly described like in the novel).
The novel also definitely had a bit of conservative mindsets that i think some ppl may not really feel comfortable with, like the what defines the value of women, stigma surrounding sex and having children outside of marriage, toxic masculinity etc.
it doesn’t bother me as much but just fyi lol

if you like what the webcomic shows so far you really really should read the novel too hehe...Bro Xi is the DREAM. And the outcome for their relationship in the end is very sweet, I have become a single dog
