Did you not read the previous chapter or something? Towards the end (pages 24-25) he asks for her LINE and says that she could call him if she's ever troubled or anything and he could probably offer some advice at the very least. They don't show them exchanging IDs/numbers right then and there, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't have done so before separating.

Also, not every male side-character in manga is a douche who will gladly make moves on a woman who seems to have interest in their friend whom also seems to have interest in them (which was kind of what he was checking during this chapter). Unfortunately, there are a lot like that, but how about having some faith in how the character has been presented so far.

@ZaxaPac Nope, don't remember that which isn't surprising since I've probably read a few hundred chapters of various series since the last chapter was published. Besides, why would he have asked her for her contact info in the first place unless he was interested in her, himself?

Since, in this chapter, when the friend queried Gen to see if he could go after Shizuku himself, Gen made it abundantly clear that he has no romantic interest in Shizuku, then there is no reason for the friend to hold back, now is there? "I'm joking..." Yeah, right.

I understand that people don't need to be in a relationship for it to be NTR, but this most definitely isn't NTR by any means. Gen clearly doesn't give a shit, it's one sided by HER part, and the guy is clearly pushing them together anyways.

Not to mention, it's abundantly clear that the author won't do any such thing. I'm guessing people are only pretending to be worried. But I might be wrong since manga/anime comment sections tend to have the dumbest people in them
