Futaribeya - Vol. 5 Ch. 45.5 - Bonus 2: Out Camping

did she really just drive to the campsite (and presumably got her license) just after 2 weeks of driving school? isn't it kinda dangerous?

In my state you just need to get a permit by passing a 25 multiple choice question test, then wait a month for the practical test. Having an actual instructor seems a lot safer in comparison.

My driver's ed course was a few weeks of classes a couple evenings a week followed by maybe 4 hours behind the wheel. That qualified me to try for my license at 16, instead of 18.

Most of what I learned about driving was from my dad on long trips with him driving and narrating what he was doing. We also did some puttering around in empty parking lots while I had my learner's permit. The course just supplied specifics of state/local traffic laws, plus getting my feet wet driving in light traffic (Saturday mornings).

Honestly, 2 solid weeks of driving camp sounds much more intensive.

Yuraki, never give Ruriko any of your stuff.
My, my. Yukiko is moving fast these days. Meanwhile, poor Sakurako is still getting no love from her sweetheart.

Sakurako Spiral File 45.5: It's nice that Kasumi catches Sakurako when she trips.
Addendum: Moka an Koruri's relationship seems to be progressing

I really felt like Ruri was gonna get in the way of Kasumi and Sakurako so im glad Moka appeared.

Damn everyone deserves a Sakurako she really is on top of everything, she should cut her hair again she looked cuter.

Was Kasumi wearing that scrunchy Hinata gave her?

Weird to see just girls going camping but then again they do have Sakurako.

The fuck lol? In my country you take a written test then immediately go for the driving test and thats that.

Last summer I got my license. In my case, in the country I live in, I had to take 30 hrs total of theory classes for the C1 type. You have one month to take all the classes in working days. Some people took six hours of classes per day and could start the practical course next week. I had some stuff going on, so it took me two weeks. Then they do an open rulebook exam. Some people actually fail and have to wait another week to get their exam re-scheduled.

And then, the practical course... You could only take 6 hours a week and have to complete the 40 hrs of driving with the instructor before a month passes.

The thing is... We are thrown directly to the street. I was driving a 12-seat Van on the chaotic streets of my city for the first fucking time. It was kinda shocking at first, but over time and practice I got pretty confident with the spacing and changing the gears (We are all taught in manual transmission)

I didn't even have an exam. My instructor simply told me "Man, you're good. Don't worry" and next week I had my license.

In the past, most people didn't even take a course. They just paid for the license and that's it. "Go learn all that stuff yourself"

So I actually feel pretty good for taking the course (That is now obligatory to take)

I kind of the get the feeling from Kururi that she may be a bit unsure of her feelings about another girl at the moment, and that's a big part of her hesitancy. In real life this is common, so it wouldn't be too surprising even as accepting as everyone has been of yuri relationships in the manga. If she really does have feelings for Moka, I hope she comes around and agrees to go out with her.

This is a really good chapter. Yukari has been my favorite character for the past few chapters and I'm glad she got to go with them. The interaction at the end was really nice.

Fun fact, a Norwegian driver's license cost $3,675 (or 30,000 Norwegian Krone).

You can’t rent a car for one year after you get your license where I live, so this was... surprising. Hope she got some practice in beforehand.
