Actually, not only Mei tells Shiori to be aggressive for several times, but also in chp18, Tenjin Minami who had lost his chance told her to give it a try. So, I think Shiori is trying her best.
 
@MrMcNasty I checked the raws. On the bottom of the last page in the left corner there is a little box. It says something along the lines of "will be continued in June" ( "6月に続く" ).

Aww damn, I checked the website that the series is published under, and that said Apr. 24th. I'm sure that's just out-dated pre-COVID info.
 
@Desden what? he thinks that one girl is interested in someone else and thought the other only thought of him as a friend. is your brain completely smooth or something?
 
God damn these shippers busy bashing the girls but the only real problem is Jirou wanting both girls at once. His ass needs to make a decision on who he's getting with rather than swapping to whichever girl is closest at the time. In real life this shit would make him lose both girls if it came out.
 
Honestly, I don't even see how Jirou may end up with Shiori. For both Jirou and Akari being close to theirs initial crush is just playing a role, trying to be perfect and well it's quite fake.
When at the same time Jirou x Akari is just natural chemistry and it was pointed out how natural, carrying and synchronized they are over and over again in the manga. Even before the kiss Shiori doesn't believe Jirou facial expression and thinks that he just haven't realize his true feelings yet. I mean for Akari and Jirou every time when one of them is in distressed they bodies just act on they own to go help each other- just what more you can add here.

Also I'm glad that author ended Akari crush with normal and logic talk with Minami. No unnecessary dragging it out or making it go away by some gag or confusion. Too bad that Minami is in love with his brother wife and didn't even had chance to confess, because he waited too long...
Now I hope Akari confession to Jirou won't be stop before she even have chance to say anything, by Jirou asking how progress went with Minami and commenting how on his part it was success or something.
 
Shiori was left underdeveloped as a character this whole time, if you think she's gonna win you're at least short-sighted

Disregard thots, acquire little sister. And holy fuck that took a dark turn. We thought Minami was gay (or so I remember from previous chapters comments) but actually traumatized and not yet ready for relationship.
 
childhood friends usually lose and i hate that but tbh i dont want shiori to win. i just cant see shiori and jirou’s dynamic working out. this is one of the rare times i would say that the childhood friend shouldnt win. first loves arent always a good way to go. now that akari doesnt have minami i feel that she should have jirou and that if shiori keeps doing what she is doing its always going to waver between her and akari. which would only hurt both of them. its better that she just moves on. i think shiori and mei should be a thing 👀

plus shiori highkey cockblocked jirou from the start.

You can't imagine how glad I am that Shiori decided to make a move. Even if she is destined to lose in the end, at least we aren't going to get 200 chapters of her too shy to confess her feelings.
I'm also glad that Akari got a closure for her previous crush and can now focus on her feelings for the protagonist instead of being indecisive for 200 chapters.

@TheSniperTurtle you do realize thats what Akari was doing all the time too right? If the other dude was into her too it would literally be the same situation on both sides... unnecessary MC bashing is as bad as blind shippers ^_^
