Did you guys maybe forget the story?

Every time a Fenrir weakens, the Princess of the kingdom is usually sent to take Fenrir's place as the new "Fenrir" she turns into a wolf and loses her memory.

It is literally explained just few chapters earlier.

Nope, I didn't forget I wasn't clear but that sentiment was from before that reveal in chapter 7. But it is a detail I wouldn't be surprised if anyone forgot. It hasn't been made a major part of the story yet, just a single piece of lore. It was mentioned multiple times that the current princess was originally the successor before Elle's appearance but it was mentioned only once that it's the role given to the females of the royal family. If you forgot this single piece of information, then it's easy to not think of Fenrir as being female.

For the very reasons I've already mentioned, but if needed to make it even simpler:
The more important a detail, the more it's referred to (even in just small hints) in a story.
Princess being the original successor - multiple times.
Royal family having this as a duty - 2 or 3 times.
Only females assume this role - once.
From that, so far the fact that it's a female only role doesn't seem important or at least not as important than it being being a member of the royal family. If one character would have at least said "As the princess of this kingdom you were chosen" or "As a female of the royal family" it would have make that fact stand strongly but that's not what happens. Even in her monologue the princess focuses on the fact that she has high magical power being her reason for being chosen...not that she was a female of the royal family. You got to realize that even the most subtle of dialog can assert the importance or lack of importance to any given information.

So maybe royal nobles have the most Mana by default, save some exceptions I guess(the protagonist).
That would explain the Mana thing, obviously, they need a lot of magic power for that, but what about the role being female only? Not that it really matters to me that much though.
