Ho, now I'm getting Coppelion vibes all of a sudden :'D In a way I hope that their journey really will end soon, they deserve their peace.
 
It won't end with everybody dead.
It'll end with a short time skip ahead to everyone all happy that they escaped and things are recovering. Only for it to actually just be Kurumi trapped alone as a lab rat having gone crazy and imagining all that. Everyone else is dead.

Have to end on the same note they started with after all.
 
Oh god these death flags are waving so much. As far as I can remember, this is only time where one of the infected's faces wasn't completely obscured; you actually saw part of Shiiko's face. That's some meaning right there.
 
Well. This turned into a real downer after having a good start.
 
And then they were all killed by a drone airstrike. The end.
 
Whether this ends in tragedy or not, I really don't care at all anymore.

Dunno what the author was doing with this series.

They're just saying that the serialization is taking a break for one issue. I think they do this each time a volume is released.
