Peppers are fruits, rather than vegetables.
A matter of greater practical importance is that green pepper contain chemicals such as aldehydes and 2-methoxy-3-isobutylpyrazine which are not detected by people who like green peppers, but discernible in even low concentrations by those who hate green peppers. A person who senses these chemicals cannot be tricked into liking foods that contain green peppers. It is simply cruel to try to trick such people.
