Gakuen Babysitters - Vol. 16 Ch. 90

Hullo! I hope you read the notice at the end :3

But just a general q, for future quality checking... Do you need the translations of the baby talk? For example in this chapter, Taka said, "Meh tu! I wunna be nii-san!" We put our TL of it underneath in parentheses --> (Me too! I want to be Nii-san!). Page 10 if you want to see what I mean.
I didn't know what y'all preferences were so I left some baby talk with TL and some without TL. If I left out the TL, would it be hard to decipher?

Let me know your thoughts!

But on a side note, happy reading! I squealed internally c:

Putting both would be great. I think their baby talk is cute but maybe sometimes someone would find the baby talk hard to understand so the parentheses would be important.

Thanks for the chapter! I like the baby talk translation and the TL under it. Sometimes it would be hard to know what they are saying without TL

Been awhile to have an update I laughed like h*ll
especially on that Saikawa butler coming out of nowhere 🤣
btw the mini translation on those babies dialogues are perfect since somewhat add up the adorbs of them 😆

I'm not complaining about the scanlation order, but I'll delay my reading in order to take the episodes in order. These episodes may seem independent, but the interpretation of the characters in any one episode is best informed by all prior episodes, and presumably the mangaka develops over time (so that even a sequence of otherwise disconnected stories with different characters represents an evolution).

@Katsu

The extra translation of the baby talk doesn't hurt, though I have found it superfluous exactly because you've done the primary translation effectively.

I don't really care if it's in a wrong order, if its just fillers, i mean i like sugar sweet fillers

OH MY GOSH!!!! 🤣 Saikawa, Usaida and Hayato are just too much!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I CAN'T BREATH!!!!!! 🤣 how can Saikawa keep that poker face on all the time?! 🤣

@Katsu: I'm in the "put both baby talk and its translation" camp.

BTW, I believe I found a few errors:
[ul]
[*] Page 28 in the last panel: "You pretended to faint to take into Kotarou's feelings" seems like it's missing "account" after "into".
[*] Page 29: Isn't Hayato playing "grandma"? What's "This is mother-in-law" supposed to meaning?
[*] Page 29-30: What's with the "regarding X" on pages 29 and 30 when it comes to Hayato and Inomato's respective roles?
[/ul]

Code:
@MarqFJA87

Thanks for pointing out that error. I'll update it on MD, but I'm not gonna update the DL links on our site(s). Sorry, it's a bit tedious on my part... As for the other pointers:

---Page 28: They never really specified whose the Grandma was on which side of the family, but with the TL I'll hypothesize its Ryuu's side. Therefore, when Kotarou became the new Mama, Hayato became Kotarou's mother-in-law.
---Page 29-30: Because the roles got changed, I believe they want to re-iterate who had which roles. Inomata having the Grandpa role while Ushimaru taking on a NEW role as "Grandpa's friend" who plays Go.

That's my 2 cents. Hopefully, it makes sense.

----But thank you for all your suggestions and congratulations! I've read every comment so far and will continue doing so :3

@Katsu: ... Then why is the sentence phrased "This is mother-in-law" when it's a thought bubble pointing towards Hayato (i.e. it's Hayato's thoughts)???

@MarqFJA87

That is how it is phrased. I mean it could certainly have been phrased better, but it indicated the correct meaning. Hayato was playing the Grandma role to Kotarou, but again— he is PAPA's MOM, therefore, he is the Kotarou's mother-in-law when he BECAME MAMA. Therefore, he is thinking because he is playing the mean mother-in-law act when he judges Kotarou's cleaning.

This chapter was translated from Ch -> Eng which I understand some sentence structures may have unusual connotations, but overall the translations are fine.
