@IHavoc This! This is the point I've been trying to make. The reactions are so dramatic that It's making the author look good in comparison. And while I didn't like it I don't really find it to be even that bad of a change. Like I said stories can suddenly change in tone and theme, and tactics like this are usually employed in those cases to some success. The main problem here is the theme the author used which can be very controversial.

I just went to this manga because someone pointed in a completely unrelated manga that that manga was triggering their trauma of this manga absurd chapter numbering (jokingly, it was also doing the 8._ thing).
But I kinda want to reach this because I cannot fathom how can this be so low rated.

Not really sure how to feel about this manga anymore. It was trashy, but fun up until the flashback showing the student president's memories... For those chapters, it was complete tonal switch that was quite frankly a terrible idea. The scene within those chapters came completely out of left field and seem to be included for shock value in what was previously a very lighthearted ecchi romp.

I came back to see if they did anything with the flashback, and I see panty shots of the girl. Bravo. Even if it was a response to being axed, the man threw his credibility in the bin when he thought of those chapters.

That's so fucking stupid though. All he's doing is burning his career to the ground since few publishers will want to have him work. What he should have done was after the troll chapter do time-skip showing a serious type girl with glasses who hates flashy type guys and a flashy type guy with blonde hair and pierced ears as her brother both at school dealing with their daily routine and when they get home show that their parents are the protagonists as adults both being more mature, but still having their little quirks. Wont change that it got axed, but it'll leave out on such a good note that it'll guarantee goodwill with his fanbase who'll follow up on his next work. With this stunt he's burnt even THAT down.

So, yet another promising gyaru manga gets axed.
I didn't really mind the turn to darker tone and the rape scene, because in the end she was saved and nothing really happened. If anything I think it was a student council flag raiserfor the MC.

@darkblader656: Yeah, can you provide the link? Only reddit I found was full of speculation, nothing concrete. If it was getting cancelled and that was his response, I would think we wouldn't be seeing any more chapters at ALL. I heard about him shutting down his Twitter from all the hate-tweets he got from that flashback, but nothing about it as a middle-finger to the publishers. My view on it was he took a chance, rolled the dice, and it came up snake eyes for him and he's paying for it.
Frankly, I'm just gonna wait and see instead of accepting any he-said-she-said. If it does get axed, no one will be surprised and we'll all move on. If it doesn't, it means there was a method to the madness and the story will continue. Either way, we win.
Going back to the plot: I'm enjoying the fact that Kaji tried to cover his ass but Ieda learned how he felt about gals. Maybe we'll see her act as a normal student trying to win him over now, who knows?
