Gal☆Cleaning!

The worst thing about this manga is that we'll probably never know what made author shot himself in the foot. I mean, "cancelled, so i'll go out with a bang" was always just a speculation.

Not sure if i want another work from him (well, i'll probably check it out in case it happens), but i hope someone scouts him out as an artist, i kinda like his art style.

The second volume cover is actually wrong - Ieda is not wearing her panties for most of it.
 
I still don't get it, artist(probably) such a moron, he didn't show if rapist put it in or not, cos if not, that wasn't that bad, i mean, there's a lot of other mangas which uses this "hero saves damsell in a last second" trick, of course that was unnecessary and stupid to drag on it for so many chapter, but still. For example, in "blue hearts" MC's future waifu(i think?) gets gangbanged by a group of thugs, and that's much worses, but i didn't saw much comments complaining about that out here...
 
I read a decent manga with a strange ending and comments made me laugh, 10/10 would do it again
 
It was good until the author decided that rape would be a good thing to throw in att the very end.
 
I started read this cause i see sweet thing, n then... I tired of this. I wish i can vote -1, pakyu wicked author

Why is the publication status "Cancelled" and not just completed? Sure, it got axed, but it still had an ending right?
 
@Darklight99: That's the publication status. All "Cancelled" manga can be considered completed, but the reality is that once it's confirmed it got the guillotine treatment, it's a cancelled manga, not a completed one.

It started off pretty good, but in this case once the mangaka got word that it was going to be cancelled, that's how it devolved into the city dump inferno. He added a needless elongated rape scene as a public middle finger to his editors knowing full well they'd have to print it. Once he got the final chapters, he gave the rushed ending treatment. My guess is the arc where Iega was pantiless was something of a "filler" arc while he thought up some more stories involving cleaning, but I guess nobody was feeling patient. It's mostly speculation but his Twitter implied that was the case. Maybe he'll work with a different company after this. I'd like to see a reboot of this, but that's as likely as seeing what's inside a black hole.

Do we have any actual confirmation that it was really cancelled or is it just speculation based on obvious evidence? I mean, anyone can feel that it probably got cancelled but that wasn't confirmed was it?
 
@Darklight99: I don't have the link but it was somewhere here in the comments (unless they deleted it). The mangaka himself made a tweet and confirmed it was cancelled and thanked his supporters.
 
From the reactions here i expected way worse. Author just tacked in a pointless rape scene that you don't usually see on serialized stuff, and it got the fluffy crowd by surprise because it's not something you'd expect from a romantic comedy manga, inappropriate, but i've seen far, far worse and more scarring scenes on other manga on this site. Like what happens on Bitter Virgin or Happy Sugar Life (and i'm sure there's way worse out there even). It wasn't even with the main gal, which i could understand would piss people off. If you cut out most of that particular flashback this manga would be an easy 7/10.

You have the added benefit of going through all of this in one binge. Imagine if you were following this since the series started and had to sit through week after week of this, hoping that the end of the flashback arc would finally come.
