I really can't buy the explanation that Takamitsu didn't show concern because he thought he was heading for a different treasure room. If that was the case, why on earth would the initial clues be coming out in the form of poems written on bills? If it was an execution of a secret will, Kijurou had no way of arranging that from his captivity, so the bills should have immediately been suspect to the one person who knew that Kijurou was locked up. Then when the puzzles finally sent them all to Nagano, the possibility that room the clues were leading to being the same room Kijurou was locked in should have been an extremely distinct possibility to Takamitsu even if he didn't know for sure. I can forgive that the entire string of puzzles being some crazy ass Da Vinci Code shit that in reality no one could actually solve, but that part just seems like a clumsy mistake.
