That's what I always imagine in RPG when used the Stone-like Armor Spell. Instead of blocking, break to pieces.

Slime armor FTW! Dampens impacts. Nearly immune to fire attacks. Also a good protection against sudden freezing attacks. (Would take a while to freeze all of it, depending on the thickness.)
Ohh...then again, there are slashing and piercing weapons. Not that efficient. Also one would suffocate.
