Can we just acknowledge how bad of servant the maid is. The royal pair was finally recognized as a good couple and she blew their cover in five seconds. She didn’t even know if he was trustworthy. If they were in the company of royalty or in public, that could have blown the whole arrangement right there and increased tensions between the countries defeating the efforts of the prince and princess. The maid is just far too emotional. Her character isn’t even funny (which I assume is the intended effect). She’s just annoying and apparently harmful to the story.
