GATE - Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri - Ch. 86

@Ovnidemon
Well, i do pity her. "Mistreated" is kinda of underestimation, considering what she went through. It's not like she was manipulating Zorzal just for fun, her goal is to lead Empire to it's demise, with JSDF being only a pawn in her plan.

This chapter was too much of a digest. The time jumps were pretty huge and so many details were left out. Hopefully this fast forward leads to something more concrete.

And what exactly does he mean don't repeat America's mistake? It's kind of hard to repeat America's warfare mistake when your enemy doesn't even have fire arms. Guerilla Warfare doesn't work as well when you're 1000 years behind technology wise and have bows, swords and knives. Ironically, they then carpet bomb a forest. It's a little different in all contexts and the ones they could repeat, they just did. I get the author likes to jerk Japan off, but this one is just plain ridiculous.

@Yautja
I think it's supposed to be a little bit reminiscent of Vietnam (where it's difficult to tell friend from foe). "Don't Repeat America's Mistake" is probably also from that, but it's hard to tell at this point which part they're referring to (probably the whole 'just shoot people that you think are enemies' part).
I will also note that they did a surgical strike against an encampment, rather than Rolling Thunder Mini.
...Still, yeah, it's hard not to "Repeat America's Mistake" when the other side is basically going human shields and deception.

@HYBRID_BEING That's exactly the problem. She just seeks revenge, not justice. She has no qualms ending innocent lives. A character with better morals would try to destroy the empire from the inside while keeping the casualties to the minimum. Or, at the very least, she would have remorse for the innocents. She never consider the impact, the morality of her actions. For proof, she still seek to be saved while she has already done too much damage. A character with more morals would consider to atone for his sins at this point (The whole "I became a villain to destroy a villain") while she still consider herself the victim.

in the anime , the coronation scene is longer and more beautiful . it would be funny if the princess also ran away after the coronation in the anime , lol .

cover page : they are taking a sauna , then in page 25 , they are drinking beers and wear skimpy clothes after the sauna .

for the JSDF , tips to discover spies among the refugees :

- use some small metal detectors to detect the swords , knives , ... of the spies .

- or just kill all the males and strip-search all the females , like in some other edgy , isekai , fantasy manga-s , lol .

from berserk manga :

"Don't repeat America's mistakes..." ROFL... hahaha, he says that like it's so easy... JSDF forever war in the making

What is the gunship on pg. 20 supposed to be? It looks like the lovechild of a B-26K Counter-Invader and an MC-27J Spartan

I really hope Tyuule manages to find happiness after Zorzal gets his due, she needs to let go and settle down with a nice house husband like Mr. Spy Chef~

those dudes watching dark elf lady eat a sausage

rory's top hiding literally nothing

sasuga gate

@Yautja the author is Japanese, of course he would want to portray his country in a good and powerful light. Look at all the Hollywood action movies from the 80s, how is that not the same?

to enjoy this , you should note that : the author is a japanese ex-soldier .

so in his novel , the only good guys are japanese soldiers , japanese army and the isekai followers of japan .

the bad guys are : japanese media , japanese politicans , and everyone else from other countries : USA , china , russia , the isekai empire , .....
