Also, it looks like Yanagida might be paralyzed and Delilah (IIRC her name correctly) seems to have healed like magic. Given their injuries, I’d kinda had /her/ pegged as paralyzed, and at the very least she would probably (and maybe does) have lasting damage, but maybe “healed like magic” isn’t so far-fetched? I don’t recall if healing magic exists or not in the Gate-verse.

yanagida was crippled, yeah, he was in a wheelchair for a while. He probably still can't move properly (unless I'm forgetting something happened), and Delilah felt bad about letting it happen, iirc. So it wound up that Delilah swore to be Yanagida's aide/ally/whatever, that's why she'll do anything for him.

In the LN, it was also stated that Delilah

plus now yanagida has an excuse when she grinds his hips to dust

@LFSRimuru I read it on Skythewood blogspot (you can search it, not risking posting links here). A note though, from volume 1-5 are LN version, volume 6 is not translated (because the translator is translating the LN from Chinese version and volume 6 onwards is not available for some reasons), and volume 7-finish are WN version. But volume 7 started from this manga chapter, so I'd say it's fine
