GATE - Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri - Ch. 99.5

The burning mud is probably coal tar, very flammable and puts out a ton of smoke and CO/CO2.

Damn... the whole concept is so good, and initial part is nicely done. But later plot just start to wander around. There is so many awesome concept author can explore, but instead use this meaningless plot about "war" with Emperor.

Somehow most of those type of stories (like modern society and technology vs. fantasy and magic) always ends this way.

that thermae romae reference...
and le me's not into furries but still... me likey!

These slice of life omake episodes are always real good. They could be their own spin off series easily.

I love this xx.5 chapters so much. so chill and comfy with the stories of Myuute and the other characters at alnus. oh, and they're always full of the other cute furry waifus too UwU~

thank you very much for the new chapter. one more to reach 100!

As a weeb AND a furry, I approve of this chapter lol. But honestly, I wish this series would get updated more often. I love the initial concept of the story, even if it's gone a bit awry. But I wanna see how this story plays out!

@Kaarme The war is not a problem, it's a most realistic outcome (aside from everyone just straight up surrendering, after seeing their capabilities ). They have numerous ways to kill him at any moment. Directly - by bombing the shit out of him, under pretext of genocide and other atrocities he committed (by Earth standards), or just by gasing or poisonings. There is no reason for drag this s***-show. Sure, there is a sub-plot abut political pressure on Japan, but military can do it numerous ways where anyone can blame in on JSDF.

I am a degenerate, so i am anything i need to be to bask in Nature's Gifts beauty.

I just love these extra chapters, they are the extra step most authors dont take that makes the world feel truly alive, all the action and adventure is fun and all but it is these little mundane moments were the life of the world can be truly felt.

And Sao Satoru art is JUST perfect for this story, one petty peeve i have with most depictions of demihuman is that they most of the time look only like humans with some animal characteristics, but Sao-sensei make all the demihumans bodies so amazingly detailed and creative, they have fur, different skin even some differences in their anatomy, they look amazing.

I dont think i would like this series as much if it wasn't for the amazing art of the manga, i have no doubt that the LN has amazing writing but books dont give me the same feeling as a "comic" and the anime... well, ignoring the writing in the anime, the art to be as bland, the same plastic texture i see in many and all the care was only focused in the main cast looks, here all the world around them receive the same careful attention and detail.
