Seems like the saw monster is either a war mech or a modified logging industry bot.

@AncientWatcher A repurposed industrial mech makes for a better setting, IMO. There's a whole implied background story there about the rise and fall of a civilization that the current low-tech, possibly magic present time setting if the equivalent of a bulldozer has become a mythical figure that nobody actually understands how it works.
