I wonder if the title "Doki Doki Rainbow Parfait" is a reference to "Kami Nomi Zo Shiru Sekai," where there was a bugged galge that you couldn’t finish if you didn’t take the seven-colored parfait, or something like that, a parfait with rainbow colors.
He's so worried about the stereotypical response to otaku stuff, but I don't think there's anyone around him that would actually give him shit for it? Even the random more or less mob characters in their school are sort of excessively nice people.
