@StarRed39 The cat’s personality is one of the best things in the novel and this comic. He’s also a huge outlet for comedic relief when things get stiff, imagine that one clueless dude in every comic who goes around doing stupid stuff and being childish, that’s basically him in cat form. Also he’s the half of Jun Wu Xie’s soul that has not forgotten how to be expressive and can pick up on the subtleties in human communication.

@3dora it is different. The lines are thicker and more rough... I think it’s because it’s a “holiday special” chapter, it was more of a quick and rough doodle than the polished work the main story is.
