@cannarali There's hardly ever any "need" for anything, and the thing that displays the least need is drama.
If he loves them all and treats them right, and they love him (loving each other would be a plus), and he's not lying to anyone, I see this as an absolute win.
Much better than having a third person which will inevitably lead to someone ending with a broken heart because "it couldn't be helped".

Real history: polygamy and harems for nobles was acceptable and prevalent throughout many cultures through history, including Japan and Europe. In fact it was sometimes seen socially poorly for a nobleman of a certain status and above not to have multiple women.
