This story follows the writing of type 2. The author knows what outcome he wants, but doesn't set it up in a way that is satisfying. The reader isn't giving enough information ahead of time to make the MC look smart, rather than just conveniently having everything go the MC's way. Basically the author isn't smart/talented enough to pull off the story he wants to tell.

I still don't understand the reasoning behind this civil war. I get the corrupt officials but the general hasn't really explained his side of it.
