To the people who are curious about what happened, the MC's Dad's ship was caught in a storm and was destroyed (as shown in the last chapter). It was carrying a lot of valuable items, which resulted in a large loss for him. So now, in order to regain some financial stability, he's marrying his daughter off to a wealthy/powerful family.

It's really hard for me to understand the flow of the story in this webtoon as I get distracted by the ML's contrariety
Unless I reread the previous chapters before reading the updated one.. ugh
