Damn, sadly the author fairly sucks at drawing any but the most used expressions. I can't detect any real coldness in the MC's eyes, or at least not to the degree that it makes his resolve believable.

I love books, they leave most things up to your imagination, so it's very easy to imagine looks, movements, and expressions freely.
