Do half masks even really help protect someones identity? If they don't change the clothes or hair even a little bit, isn't it easy to identify them later on? Or by build, skill or demeanour?
And doesn't the girl need a mask or is she just a damsel that never fights?

I'm pretty sure their builds and hairstyles and clothes wouldn't be so distinct in the novel, so that the masks would probably be effective. What I'm concerned about is the fact that the pretty girl seems to care more about people seeing how pretty she is than protecting her and her friends' identities?
