@TheYelaGuy Guzheng would be the correct term, but Zither is the more english translation for it (yes, shocking isn't it? that zither is an actual english word) so both are technically correct
@degenerateafro I think it's more about him not wanting to become what he hates the most.
Revenge is just an excuse to find pleasure from the misfortune of others...
@degenerateafro Remember, he's a reincarnated person from Japan who was oppressed by the rich folk and found out that its virtually the same in the cultivation world. The major difference is that in a cultivation world, strong people can have the ability to oppress the rich folk who oppress the weak.
At this point of the story, Lin boi isn't confused about whether he is enacting his own justice on the people he kills, but rather he is confused that he is becoming the same as the people that abuse their power and authority just to kill the people they don't like. Like what @Shrooman says.
This becomes Lin Boi's base principle in the long run; "Do not offend him, and he won't offend you. Repay Benevolence with Gratitude and Enmity with Revenge." There are genuinely good people in the world, and when they help Lin Boi, they actually get a massive return from their kindness.
