Ueji death was whimsical, insignificant, pathetic, and too quick... i feel satisfied, maybe his childhood was complicated but nowhere close to the suffering of others in this series, his parents did drive him insane but in the end all the atrocities he did is entirely his fault and he doesn't deserve even the consideration of empathy.

Seeing how everyone just gives him the slightest of looks and quickly disregarding his entire existence was satisfying.

Just the fact that you guys from the scanlator team go to such lengths to research the details of the chapter for so many years makes me feel undeserving of reading your work. You guys have set a bar that most dont even try to cross

i didn't expect ueji to die so soon, then again, not everyone needs a "dramatic" and "special" death, he was beyond messed up and died a pathetic death while seeing his own disappointed face that resembles his father's disappointment face which seemed to satisfy him, one last time. wish we saw more of him.

I imagine this will be explained next week, but there's something I'm confused about with Kadokura. The story that everybody spread about the tattooed convicts was that there were 24 of them. The convicts themselves might not have known how many of them there were (they haven't all met each other), but the guards escorting them before they escaped should have known how many there were. I guess it's conceivable that the guards kept secret the fact that they didn't know where the 24th tattoo was, but I'd think Tsurumi would learn this if so. Maybe there were 24, but one of them either didn't receive a tattoo or got a fake one, to cover up that Kadokura had the 24th.
